GUADEC 2014 is being kindly hosted by EPITECH, a software engineering school in the heart of Strasbourg (300m away from the cathedral). More about the venue

The venue building was constructed in 1791 for prince François-Charles-Joseph de Hohenlohe-Waldenburg. Former mayor of Strasbourg Étienne Livio then bought it in 1815 to live in it and the building is still known to this day as “Hôtel Livio”. It later became a brewery, then the headquarters of a bank, before it became the home of ISEG (a commerce school) in 2001, which got joined by EPITECH in 2007.
